China Clothing Textiles & Expo: A Resounding Success, Fostering International Collaborations and Innovations
Sydney, June 17, 2024 — The China Clothing Textiles & Accessories Expo concluded on a high note last week, marking another triumphant year for this premier, long-standing industry event.
Held alongside the Global Sourcing Expo at the International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) from June 12 to 14, the event attracted a combined attendance of over 5,000 buyers, including top retailers, local manufacturers, importers, wholesalers, emerging designers, and small business owners.
This year’s expo featured over 400 well-presented exhibition booths, showcasing the latest garments, fabrics and technologies for the clothing, textiles, fabrics, homewares and accessories industries from across China. They were complimented by hundreds of companies from ten other countries/regions from around the world at the collocated Global Sourcing Expo.
Attendees were impressed by the quality and variety of the displays, which ranged from cutting-edge apparel and accessories to groundbreaking manufacturing technologies and sustainable practices.
Throughout the three-day event, the expo facilitated opportunities for networking and collaboration. Visitors engaged in meaningful conversations and formed strategic relationships with potential trading partners.
Feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive. “This visit to the China Clothing Textiles & Accessories Expo is going to be a game-changer for our business,” remarked the founder of an emerging clothing label. “We’ve shown our designs to lots of exhibitors and gathered a plethora of ideas around fabrics that we hadn’t considered. Key highlights of the expo included:
- Talk on Establishing Relationships with Chinese Suppliers: Industry veteran, Mr Shan, General Manager, Ningbo King O’Melly Import Export Co Ltd, shared his top tips on how to establish and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with Chinese suppliers.
- VIP Tour: Dignitaries Mr. Jiachang Cao, President of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles, Mr. Xiaodong Li, Director of Jiangsu International Trade Promotion Dept, Ms. Fang Wang, Director of Ningbo Business Development Centre, Mr. Xiujun Wei, Chairman of Jiangsu CCPIT Convention and Exhibition Corporation traveled to Sydney to tour the expo, speaking with exhibitors from China’s established and emerging regions.
- Education Program: The Global Sourcing Seminars provided latest insights and knowledge in fashion, trends, sustainability, international sourcing and supply chain.
