The 2025 Melbourne edition of the China Clothing Textiles & Accessories Expo (CCTAE) took place in November at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, marking another successful chapter in the event’s 25-year history of supporting the Australian fashion, textiles, and retail industries.
Held alongside the Global Sourcing Expo, the three-day event brought together over six thousand trade professionals and hundreds of international exhibitors, creating one of Australia’s most comprehensive sourcing environments. Buyers, designers, brand owners, retailers, and sourcing managers explored a diverse showcase spanning apparel, textiles, fabrics, homewares, accessories, and footwear, with exhibitors representing major manufacturing regions across Asia and beyond.
The show floor was active from opening morning, with strong attendance across all three days and consistent engagement throughout the event. Visitors were able to meet directly with manufacturers, compare product ranges, discuss development opportunities, and identify new sourcing partners. Many exhibitors reported high-quality conversations with decision-makers actively seeking new suppliers, product innovation, and sustainable manufacturing solutions.
Sustainability and innovation were prominent themes across the exhibition. A wide range of exhibitors showcased products made with natural fibres, recycled materials, and low-impact production processes, alongside advances in functional fabrics, performance wear, and technology-enabled manufacturing. These displays reflected the growing market demand for responsible sourcing and higher technical standards.
The Global Sourcing Seminar Series added further depth to the event, offering a full program of expert-led sessions across fashion trends, retail outlooks, marketing, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and supply chain strategy. The seminars attracted strong attendance and provided visitors with practical insights to complement their sourcing activity on the show floor.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2025, the China Clothing Textiles & Accessories Expo reaffirmed its position as a critical meeting point for the industry — facilitating direct international trade connections, supporting business growth, and enabling Australian companies to stay informed, competitive, and globally connected.
The next edition of the China Clothing Textiles & Accessories Expo will take place from 16 to 18 June in Sydney, continuing its biannual calendar alongside the Global Sourcing Expo.
